In-Ceram Alumina

Alumina is a naturally occuring mineral with excellent bio - compatibility.

Indications

This is the most widely used and versatile material in the In-Ceram family, due in part to its high usage flexibility. This material combines strength and translucency for most indications.

Contra - indications

Alumina is not recommended for posterior or anterior canteliver bridges.

Strength

Alumina now has a flexural strength of 500 MPa and a fracture toughness of 3.9 MPa
